Apple Holds the iTunes Festival for the First Time

After 7 years of events in London, Apple now holds their iTunes Festival in Austin, Texas from 11 to 15 March.

On Apple’s udviklerkonferrence this summer gave senior vice president of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller of Apple a “preview” on their new Mac Pro machine. During this presentation told Schiller, the machine would be produced in the United States, and since it is known that it all takes place in Austin, Texas.

Production of a Mac-series does not appear to be the only Apple pulls back to the American lines. The company has now chosen, for the first time in 7 years, to hold their iTunes Festival in the same city. It writes in an Apple press release.

the iTunes Festival is Apple’s tribute to the music and acts as a real music festival, on which you can join in. In addition, the Festival streamed live or “on demand” over iTunes on both iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac and PC. Concerts can also be enjoyed through the iTunes Festival app on iOS devices or in HD on Apple TV.

The actual Festival usually in addition to extend over a period of a month, but this time held the concerts from April 11, 2006. to (d). 15. March, featuring artists such as: Coldplay, Soundgarden, Pitbull and others.

“ITunes Festival in London has been fantastic for Apple to share his love for music with our customers,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet software and services. “We are excited about the incredible lineup of artists who come and SXSW is the perfect place to rock’n ‘ of the first iTunes Festival in the United States.”

SXSW is one festival that already has been running since 1987, and it could well indicate that Apple’s participation will not be an isolated case.
